Ooh La La!
Audra picked my dream come true theme for her birthday party this year.
A Fancy Nancy Tea Party!
I was excited. I love planning parties.
This year was extra special because Audra was involved in every detail of the party.
Since we are on a very tight budget I had to get creative with everything we did.
Basically Audra and I handmade almost everything to save cost.
It was fun and kept us busy for quite a few weeks!
Audra had a blast helping me.
This was a lesson on patience for me because Audra wanted to be so involved.
Things that would have taken me a few minutes to do would take us A LOT of minutes.
It took everything in me not to do it myself. I am glad I didn't though,
because when everything was said and done I could tell she took pride in the finished look.
I think it made her appreciate it even more!
Audra really doesn't turn 5 for another month and a half,
but this was the only weekend available to do the party.
So I still have a few more weeks with my four year old.
Thank goodness because it seems to be going way to fast!
I feel like she should still be as small as Adiah, but I digress.
I sketched a template of a tea cup and saucer and made the invites.
My printer decided to quit working so I had to handwrite inside. Didn't look to awesome, but I think the outside made up for the inside.
Audra put them in envelopes and dressed up Posh and hand delivered the ones we could and mailed the others.
The food table the night before the party. If I could re-do the flower back splash I would have just used the purple flowers on the ends and had purple streamers in between, but Audra had already fallen in love so it stayed. :)
This was the Fancy table all the girls sat and ate. I think it turned out adorable!
We covered the chairs with pillow cases. Audra colored each placemat.
We glittered the edges and put each name on one.
Audra had a blast "jeweling" (if that's a word) each fork.
The night before she kept checking on the table to "make sure it was still ok". She kept saying, "I am trying not to get too excited Mom because I still have to wait."
I made her a shirt and a banner as a surprise!
The food Table
I love how the fruit butterfly turned out... the veggie... not so much.
Waiting for one more guest
Let the fun begin!
They ate while I read Fancy Nancy to them.
They painted a magnet and decorated a frame.
Fancy Nancy Loves butterflies!
So Audra has become mildly obsessed with learning all about them.
She wanted to do a game around the life cycle of the butterfly.
So we came up with a line of breaking out of the egg (pop up tent), Getting in the cocoon (getting inside a tunnel), and when you broke out getting a pair of wings and running to tag the next girl (laying the egg and starting the cycle over). The girls seemed to have a blast and a little science lesson was involved. Playing and learning takes a WIN!
Audra didn't want a cake this year but instead we had ice cream "parfaits". So we had toppings and ice cream. Each girl picked out what they wanted on top.
They are the cutest!!!
I really love how everything turned out but more importantly Audra said it was the best party ever!
That makes it all worth it!!!!
I love my little Posh Audra SOOO much and I hope this is a forever special memory.
I know it is for me!

Summer
what a great party, everythig was so cute and was made with such caring and love. This is a time that will always be remembered, Now days so many people leave the party to the
commerical site, because they don't have the time, but your party will be always remember because the two of you share the time and love as Mom and Daughter. These are some of the greatest times of you life enjoy!!!
