Book+Sale= AMAZING!

Friday I hit the mortherload! I love, Love, LOVE books! I found online about three weeks ago that the library was about to have a huge book sale. Put book and sale together and it is a little piece of heaven on earth in my world. I went not expecting anything to grand because I had never been to one, but I was pleasantly surprised that there was a whole library full of books for sale, none were over a DOLLAR! I had Audra with me and it was somewhat crowded so I did not stay and weed through the mountains of books like I would have if I were by myself, but for $11.50 I got thirteen books. See all my beauties!

One of my favorite finds was the Eric Carle books. This was one of my favorite childhood authors and I am so glad I am getting to share the books with Audra. They had TONS, but I looked through and got the ones that were not ripped or too worn. A buck each! Then I found my favorite book from middle school, Jackaroo. I was very, very happy. I flipped through it and was quickly brought back to my favorite masked heroine, Gwyn (is not the most romantical name). I have forgotten a lot of the exciting details, but now that I have it in my possession, I know what I will be reading. :)

My Magic Cup of Coffee

Ok, so the "magic" cup of coffee is not really the magic. Although every morning it does give me the little pick me up I need to actually feel ready to face my day, it gave me something more this morning. It gave me a reminder of how much I enjoy time with my best friend.

Today, I was woke up by my husband. Usually, in the morning he just gets ready for med school and kisses me on his way out while I am still in bed with morning breath and messed up hair. I usually give him a half awake kiss and mumble something like "I love you" but comes out as more of a "hum muum muw". For some reason though, he asked if I would get up and drink a cup of coffee with him. As much as my warm, comfy bed felt I decided to get up. I am so glad I did.

We sat at our table and talked for a good hour and half. We talked about things we needed to, but then we were able to move on to funny things. We were both laughing and making jokes by the end of our cup. Now it was not like we never talk, but we both get bogged down with our responsibilities. By the end of day we usually feel like talking about the bare necessities or important things that happened during the day. There is also the fact that we spend quality family time with Audra. So there isn't usually time to completely enjoy each others company as a couple.

I am so thankful for my husband and proud of how hard he is working in medical school, but most of all I am thankful for little moments where we can just revert back to best friends and have fun basking in each others presence. It is the little things like this morning and a "magic" cup of coffee that brings me back to how important it is to make time just for Ryan. So maybe I will start getting up with him a little bit more and Thank You, Cup of Joe for making my start of the day amazing.

Here are a few pictures that make me happy.

Have a great day and I hope everyone takes time to appreciate what is important in life today!
