A week ago, I went to a SAA meeting like usual. When I got home I didn't even make it to the front door and Ryan greeted me with that look... the I-know-you-are-going-to-say-no-but-hear-me-out-first-look. He and his mom had been talking while I was gone about a way for us to be able to meet them in Colorado to go skiing for a couple of days. I knew Ryan had been dying to go, and I myself had been wanting to go again. It was just the part of him telling me Tuesday night and we needed to be on a plane by Thursday morning. AHHHHH! This meant I had to meet my mom in Georgetown Wednesday to drop off Audra, drive back home, and still pack. I am not good with last minute changes/adventures, but I agreed. I got everything done and it was totally worth it. Ryan and I had not been skiing/snowboarding in over 5 years. It was refreshing and we had a blast!

So thankful that Ryan's parents gave us the trip. It was such a blessing. It gave Ryan some encouragement that this is something he will be able to do for his family one day. These kinds of vacations will be his rewards later for all his hard work in Med school. I am looking forward to it. Just around the corner... 6 years or so! :) |
